Commercial Glass, Frames, and Doors in Cache Valley, Utah
When a business has a glass problem, it is usually also a money problem: a broken storefront is an open building, a failed door is a customer who cannot get in, and a foggy window is a bad first impression on every person who walks by. T&K Glass handles commercial glass, aluminum frames, and doors for businesses across Logan and Cache Valley. We sell and install commercial frames and doors, replace storefront and office glass, and board up break-ins fast so you can get back to open. Family-owned, based in Hyde Park. Free estimates. Call (435) 258-5456.
We work with shop owners, property managers, contractors, and facilities crews. Whether it is one cracked storefront pane or the glass and doors for a whole build-out, we can help.
Commercial glass work we do
Storefront glass. The big display and entry glass that fronts your business. We replace cracked, broken, or fogged storefront panes, including the large tempered and insulated units that commercial fronts use. A clean storefront is free advertising; a cracked one is the opposite.
Aluminum frames and doors. We sell and install the commercial-grade aluminum door and frame systems that businesses run on: entry doors, the framing around your glass, and the hardware that takes thousands of open-and-close cycles a year. When a commercial door sags, drags, or will not latch, it is usually the frame, the closer, or the hinges, and we fix all three.
Commercial door glass and repairs. Broken glass in an existing commercial door, failed closers that slam or will not shut, and the daily-wear problems that make a door annoying and eventually unsafe.
Insulated and tempered commercial units. Code requires tempered safety glass in commercial doors, in glass within two feet of a door, and in low glass near the floor, and most modern storefronts use insulated (dual-pane) units for energy performance. We know the code and we order the right glass for each location, so it passes inspection the first time.
Interior office glass. Glass for interior office walls, partitions, and doors: the modern open-but-quiet look a lot of Cache Valley offices are moving toward. If you are building out office space and want interior glass, ask.
Emergency board-up. A break-in, a car through the front, a smashed door after hours. We can board up a commercial opening the same day to secure your building and your inventory while the replacement glass is on the way. For a business, getting the hole closed fast is the whole point.
How commercial work goes
- Call for a free estimate: (435) 258-5456. Tell us what happened and what you run. For an emergency board-up we move as fast as we can; for planned work we will come measure and quote.
- We secure first if it is an emergency. Broken and open? We board it up so you are not exposed overnight, then handle the permanent glass once it is ordered.
- We measure and order. Commercial glass, frames, and doors are sized and specified to your opening and to code. Storefront and insulated units have a build time; we will give you a real timeline.
- Install and check. We set the glass or hang the door, seal and adjust, and make sure everything opens, closes, and locks correctly before we leave.
We are a licensed Utah contractor (#12719492-5501), and we understand that for a business, downtime and a bad-looking front both cost money, so we work to minimize both.
What to do when your business glass breaks after hours
A storefront break after close is stressful, and the first hour matters. A simple order of operations we give business owners:
- People and safety first. If it is a break-in, do not go in alone; let law enforcement clear the building. Broken commercial glass, especially large tempered panels, leaves a lot of debris.
- Document it. Photograph the damage and the whole storefront before anything is touched or cleaned. Your insurance adjuster will want the scene, and a police report number if it was a break-in.
- Get the opening secured. An open storefront overnight is an invitation. Call us at (435) 258-5456 for same-day board-up; plywood over the opening protects your inventory and your liability until the real glass is in.
- Then plan the permanent fix. Once you are secure, we measure, order the correct storefront or door glass, and schedule the install around your business hours as much as we can.
Keeping our number saved before you need it is worth ten minutes. When the glass is already broken, you do not want to be searching "commercial glass repair near me" on your phone in a parking lot at midnight.
Local businesses we serve
Our shop in Hyde Park sits right in the middle of Cache Valley's commercial corridor, so we are a short drive from Logan's Main Street and business districts, the North Logan and Smithfield commercial strips, and the shops, offices, and light-industrial buildings throughout the valley. We serve businesses across Cache County and out into Box Elder County, including Tremonton and Corinne, up toward the Bear Lake area, and down toward Ogden.
Being local matters more for commercial work than almost anything. When your storefront is broken, you do not want to wait two days for someone to drive up from the Wasatch Front; you want a shop that can get to you today, board it up, and get the real glass ordered. That is the advantage of using a Cache Valley glass company for your Cache Valley business.
Why commercial glass is worth doing right
Commercial glass is not just residential glass in a bigger size. It carries loads, meets stricter code, and gets used harder, and cutting corners on it costs more later. A few things a business owner should know:
- Your front is your first impression. A cracked or fogged storefront tells every passerby that details slide here. A crisp, clear front does the opposite, and it costs less to keep up than most owners assume.
- Commercial doors are cycle-rated for a reason. A retail entry can see hundreds or thousands of open-close cycles a day. Residential-grade parts do not survive that; proper commercial frames, hinges, and closers do, which is why we install systems built for the traffic instead of the cheapest thing that fits.
- Code is not optional on a business. Tempered safety glass around doors and in low or large panels is required, and an inspector will catch the wrong glass. We spec it right the first time so you are not redoing it.
- Downtime is the real cost. Every hour a door is broken or a front is boarded is lost foot traffic. We plan installs to minimize the disruption and get you back to open quickly.
None of this means gold-plating the job. It means matching the glass, frames, and hardware to how a business actually uses them, which is exactly the read you want from a local shop that will still be here when you call again.
What commercial glass costs
Commercial jobs span our full $200 to $15,000 range and, for larger frame-and-door or multi-pane storefront projects, can run beyond it; we will quote the actual scope. The price drivers:
- Glass type and size (large storefront, tempered, and insulated units cost more than a small pane)
- Frames and doors (supplying and hanging an aluminum door system is more than a glass-only swap)
- Hardware (closers, locks, panic and exit devices, and ADA-compliant lever hardware where public buildings require it)
- Emergency vs. scheduled (an after-hours board-up is priced differently than planned work)
We will give you a clear, itemized estimate for free, and for insured losses (break-in, vehicle, storm) we handle claims and can work from your adjuster's scope. Call (435) 258-5456.
Commercial glass questions we hear a lot
My storefront window is broken. Can you secure it today?
In most cases, yes. Call (435) 258-5456 and we will get out to board up the opening the same day so your building is secure, then handle the permanent glass replacement once it is ordered.
Do you sell and install commercial doors, or just glass?
Both. T&K Glass sells and installs commercial aluminum frames and doors, replaces the glass in existing commercial doors, and fixes the hardware like closers and hinges that make a door fail.
Do you do interior office glass and partitions?
Yes. If you are building out or updating office space and want interior glass walls, partitions, or doors, ask about it at your estimate.
Do you work with contractors and property managers?
Yes. We regularly work with contractors, property managers, and facilities teams on both new build-outs and ongoing repairs. For new construction glass specifically, see our new-construction page.
Does business insurance cover a break-in or storm damage?
Commercial property insurance often covers glass loss from a break-in, vehicle, or storm, subject to your policy and deductible. We handle claims and can coordinate with your adjuster so you are not stuck managing it alone.
